2,031 new covid cases registered in Delhi, 9 deaths in a day

The national capital saw 1,372 infections and six deaths on Monday as the case positivity rate stood at 17.85%, the highest since January 21. The positivity rate on January 21 was 18.04%.

“We did a study where we wanted to know which sub-version has the highest transmission. We analyzed data from 90 samples in August and found that more than half of the patients were infected with BA 2.75. This is the leading cause of transmission And it spreads fast,” Dr. Kumar said.

The common symptoms are sore throat, runny nose, low-grade fever, headache and body aches, the doctor said.

The doctor suggested that people take the third dose as soon as possible because earlier vaccines can reduce the severity of the disease.
