Islamabad: about 25 Chinese companies Working in Pakistan under Flagship CPEC A media report said on Tuesday that he has warned that unless he is paid 300 billion Pakistani rupees, he will be forced to shut down his operations this month.
The warning was given to Chinese independent power producers (IPPs) during a meeting chaired by Planning and Development Minister Ahsan Iqbal, with more than 30 Chinese companies operating under major multi-billion dollars. China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in various sectors including energy, communication, railways and others, Dawn newspaper reported.
There were also complaints related to complicated visa procedures for Chinese authorities and taxation, but there were also counter complaints from the Pakistani side over the delayed response to communications, the report said. Iqbal assured the Chinese companies that the PM has looked into the situation and promised that the financial difficulties would be eased within this month.
