Bikaner: Health workers administered doses of Kovid-19 vaccine to the beneficiaries in a special vaccination camp targeting one lakh doses in a day.
With 260 deaths due to the infection in the last 24 hours, 34,973 new cases of the novel coronavirus were reported in India. According to the data shared by the Union Health Ministry on Friday, a total of 37,681 discharges took place in the country in the last 24 hours, taking the total recovery rate to around 97.48 per cent and the total recoveries to 3,23,42,299.
Data from the ministry shows that the total active cases of COVID-19 in India has come down to 3,90,646. The total death toll in the country now stands at 4,42,009. In India, the first death due to the COVID pandemic was reported in March 2020.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 53,86,04,854 samples have been tested for COVID-19 till September 9. Of these, 17,87,611 samples were tested on Thursday.
