4.4 magnitude earthquake hits Maharashtra’s Kolhapur

An earthquake hit Maharashtra’s Kolhapur on Sunday evening. The National Center for Seismology (NCS) said the quake had a magnitude of 4.4.

“Earthquake of magnitude: 4.4, 24-10-2021, 17:07:07 IST, Latitude: 17.16 & Long: 73.62, Depth: 5 km, Location: Occurred at 83 km NW of Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India,” NCS said. Said a tweet.

Earlier this month, an earthquake measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale hit Karimnagar district of Telangana.

According to the National Center for Seismology, the exact location is 45 km northeast in Karimnagar district of Telangana.

Meanwhile, another earthquake measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale struck Manipur’s Churachandpur.
