4 minor girls missing from Delhi Children’s Home traced to Assam: Police

New Delhi:

Delhi Police has traced four minor girls who went missing from a Children’s Home in New Delhi, who have been traced to Assam.

According to the police, on the night of September 22, information about the disappearance of girls was received from the Children’s Home in Kamla Nagar.

“Immediate investigation started after the lady warden of the children’s house lodged a missing complaint and CCTV footage from around the house was analyzed,” police said.

Police further said, “During investigation, it was revealed that one of the missing girls was a resident of Naugaon Assam and others were from Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi respectively.”

The police also told that on the night of 22 September, the four girls made a plan to drop the children home and reached Assam by train.

“Immediately, the child helpline of Nagaon in Assam was contacted and all the four missing girls were informed to the concerned authorities,” police said.

The police further said, “One girl from Assam has been handed over to a Children’s Home in Assam, and the remaining three girls have been handed over to the Safe Children’s Home, Kamla Nagar, Delhi.”
