45 year old travel agency manager murdered

A brawl over bursting of firecrackers at an apartment complex during Diwali celebrations killed a 45-year-old manager of a travel firm in Mangaluru’s Car Street on November 4.

Police have named the deceased as Vinayak Kamath, manager of Vikram Travels in Karangalpadi.

According to the complaint of the deceased’s wife Ammani Kamath, five days back Vinayak had a heated argument with his neighbor Krishnanand Kini over the entry of an outsider’s car into the apartment complex.

On the night of November 3, when Vinayak was returning home after bursting crackers near the parking area, Kini had a heated argument with him. Kini’s son Avinash also became a part of the argument, in which there was a fight between the three. During the brawl, Vinayak was hit on the chest and he fell. With the help of neighbors Vinayak’s mother took him to a private hospital where he died at around 2 pm.

Mangaluru North police registered a case of murder and arrested 72-year-old Krishnanand Kini and his 45-year-old son Avinash.
