5.9 magnitude earthquake in Afghanistan; Tremors were felt in Delhi

An earthquake of 5.9 magnitude hit Afghanistan on Thursday and tremors were felt in Delhi and surrounding areas.

There were no immediate reports of anyone being injured or any property damage.

The earthquake occurred in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan at around 7:55 pm. The epicenter of the earthquake was 79 km south of Faizabad in Afghanistan at a depth of 200 km.

This was the second time in a week that Delhi was shaken by earthquake tremors. On January 1, an earthquake of magnitude 3.8 hit Jhajjar in Haryana. Earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi and surrounding areas.
