Ludhiana: One person from Ludhiana died of Covid and five people from the district tested positive for the disease on Monday.
Health department officials said that with one Covid death in the district on Monday, the total number of deaths in Ludhiana rose to 2,282, while the number of deaths in Ludhiana hospitals in outlying districts stood at 1,126.
The Health Department said that so far 36,11,077 suspects have been tested for COVID in Ludhiana district. It said that five persons from Ludhiana tested positive for Covid, while none from outlying districts/states was found infected with the virus on Monday.
Officials of the local health department said that till Monday, the total number of patients from Ludhiana district was 1,09,957 while the number of cases from outside districts/states stood at 14,769.
