3. Use Headlights
If it is raining heavily, it is recommended to turn on your headlights to improve visibility. Also, checking whether the headlights are clean before leaving is also a good practice in rainy weather to ensure that they perform at their optimum level.
4. Stay in your street
When visibility is low, one should stay in one’s own lane and avoid overtaking another car from the side when it is unnecessary. In addition, staying in line with the vehicles ahead of you will allow those vehicles to displace standing water on the road. However, take care to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you.
5. Drive Slow
The most important tip for driving in rainy conditions – drive slow. It should be noted that in wet conditions the tire can lose traction, and it is important to drive below the speed limit in order to keep the car under control and able to differentiate from its surroundings. Visibility can be quite low in heavy rains, so it is always advisable to reduce your speed.
