Omega Hospitals on Sunday inaugurated a 500-bed multi-specialty facility at Gachibowli. The hospital has advanced infrastructure and equipment in the diagnostic, diagnostic and therapeutic-imaging departments and others. According to the hospital group, it is also the first hospital in India to start a nuclear-medicine department with both Digital PET MR and Digital PET CT modalities.
Dr. Mohana Vamsi, Chairman and Managing Director, Omega Group of Hospitals, said that many of his patients suffering from cancer often require treatment for co-morbidities like cardiac, orthopedic, renal, pulmonary, neurological, gastrointestinal issues. Keeping this in mind, the hospital dedicated five floors to various super specialties to provide comprehensive cancer care.
He added that the hospital is equipped with India’s first AI-powered Radiation Ethos, a revolutionary new therapy that is patient-centric and personalized from initial planning to on-couch optimization and monitoring of treatment.
