5G rollout to unlock massive employment opportunities in India: Govt

Telecom Secretary K Rajaram on Wednesday said that with the advent of 5G and other new telecom technologies, new employment opportunities will come with them, which will require suitable manpower.

5G Spectrum Auction Offer

Rajaram’s statement comes in the backdrop of reports that the DoT will send the 5G spectrum auction proposal to the Union Cabinet for final approval next week.

The Digital Communications Commission has finalized the base price as suggested by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. PTI previously reported.
