India’s spin trio of Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi created a web of magic as they beat West Indies by 88 runs in the fifth T20I to win the five-match T20I series 4-1 on Sunday.

Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi ruled the threshold with the ball and the West Indies batsmen had no answer for their clever variations. Barring Shimron Hetmyer’s fighting innings, it was a humble surrender from the other batsmen.

West Indies vs India, 5th T20 International Highlights

Opting to bat first, the Indian team posted a commanding score of 188 for seven against West Indies in the fifth T20I at Lauderhill.

Stand-in skipper Hardik Pandya (28 off 16 balls) played a nice cameo to consolidate the score in the end and scored 18 runs in the final over bowled by Jason Holder. The match was halted for 15 minutes after 14.3 overs due to a lightning strike around the stadium, when India were at 135 for three.

Iyer performed brilliantly in an unfamiliar position as an opener but also won his short ‘Battle in Battle’ with Deepak Hooda (38 off 25 balls), who was equally impressive while at the crease.

The Iyer-Hooda pair put on 76 runs in just 7.1 overs and their partnership was nothing short of breathtaking, with four sixes (two each) going between them apart from a flurry of fours.
