662 offers for 513 students at IIM-B; Accenture Largest Recruiter

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore received 662 offers for 513 students in final placements, with consulting companies making maximum offers. Accenture was the largest recruiter in IIM-B with 51 offers.

“Overall, the number of offers increased by 37% on a year-on-year basis, driven primarily by consulting and product management roles. Strategy consulting remains the most sought-after role among students, followed by product management and product management. Finance.” Harsh Agarwal, placement representative at IIM-B. Consulting companies made 248 offers, led by Accenture with 51 offers, followed by Boston Consulting Group with 30 offers. Other top employers include Kearney (27), Bain & Company (26), McKinsey & Company (22), the institute said Wednesday.

Recruiters from the information technology and product management domains who made 141 offers included Microsoft (15), Oyo (11), Amagi Labs (7), Oracle (7), Atlassian (6), Google (6).

There were a total of 71 offers in the finance sector and the group made 52 offers for general management positions. Students opting for sales and marketing roles received 40 offers and were recruited by leading consumer goods firms led by HUL (6), Asian Paints (4).
