7 colleges of Delhi University declare 100% cut-off in 11 subjects

New Delhi: Seven colleges of Delhi University have declared 100 per cent cut-off in 11 subjects for admission in 2021-22, making it one mark higher than last year in popular subjects.

Around 70,000 students have scored 95% and above in the CBSE Class 12 examinations this year.

in the middle science college, Deen Dayal Upadhyay and Hansraj College for B.Sc Computer Science, Ramjas College for B.Sc in Physics and Shaheed Sukhdev College for Business Studies have 100 percent cut-off for B.Sc in Computer Science.

Lady Shri Ram College has 100 percent cut-off for BA Economics and B.Com, Ramjas College for Political Science, B.Com for Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College and B.Com for Hindu College.

Jesus and Mary College also has 100% cut off in BA Psychology Honors course.

The CBSE Class 12 examinations were canceled in view of the Kovid epidemic by the order of the Supreme Court. The top court had approved the use of 30:30:40 evaluation criteria for students. However, when the results were declared, CBSE saw an increase in the number of students with more than 95 percentile.

Colleges with 98% and above cut-off

In Art And of the 77 colleges of DU’s commerce colleges, about 80 courses have a cut-off of 99 per cent or more.

Some of these courses include Kirorimal College with 99.75 percent cut-off for B.Sc Mathematics, Maitri College with 99.75 percent cut-off for the same course, Indraprastha College for Women with 99.75 percent cut-off for BA. with 99 percentile cut off for BA Honors in Political Science and English at Kamala Nehru College.

Some of the university’s more prominent colleges saw their cut-off brackets centered between 96-100 percent – nine of the 11 courses offered by Lady Shri Ram College had cut-offs between 97-99.75 percent. Hindu College was also offering seven out of its nine courses with a cut-off between 97-100 per cent. The cut-off for 7 courses out of 10 courses at Miranda House is between 97-99.75 percentile.

Among science colleges, all the 11 courses of Bhaskaracharya College for Applied Sciences are in the 94-99 percentile bracket, all the seven courses of Daulat Ram College are in the 94-99 percentile cut-off bracket.
