Hyundai India has confirmed that 70 percent of the sales And The subcompact sedan comes from the CNG variant. Tarun Garg, Director (Sales, Marketing & Service) – Hyundai Motor India confirmed the development while interacting with the media at the launch of its new brand campaign – Beyond Mobility. The new campaign will highlight the company’s technology, innovative solutions for consumers and Hyundai’s commitment to sustainability. Hyundai Aura is a suitable option for those who are looking for low operating cost. The 1.2-litre petrol engine has been optimized to handle CNG producing 68 bhp at 6000 rpm, up from the standard 82 bhp at 6000 rpm. The factory-fitted unit makes it a safer option for customers than aftermarket options.
Apart from the Aura, Hyundai India offers CNG option in its stable on the Santro and Grand i10 Nios. Switching to fuel dependence will also help the country reduce oil imports.
