8-year-old girl burns in hot oil as Mumbai puri-bhaji vendors fight

Mumbai:

During a fight between two people, an eight-year-old girl was seriously burnt due to the boiling of hot oil. puri-veggie Vendors in suburban Kurla in Mumbai, police said on Saturday.

A police official said Waseem Khaleel Ansari (31) and Mustakim Hakim Ansari, who are related, were arrested after the incident.

Ansari runs a food stall in the Kasaiwada area. Two days ago, when Afseen Shaikh (8) and Munawwar Ali (76) were waiting in front of their stall to buy puri-bhaji, Ansari suddenly started fighting over some domestic issue.

one of them bumped against embroidery (Wok), and boiling hot oil spilled on Afsin and Ali.

The official said the girl suffered serious injuries on her face and chest, while Ali suffered minor burns.

Police said that a case has been registered against both of them.
