Jalandhar: AAP Convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday made 10 promises to the traders and businessmen of Jalandhar for the development and upliftment of industry, trade and commerce in the state.
The AAP leader’s punchline to seek support was: “You have tried Congress, Kaptan and Badal; Give us a chance now. We don’t need money from businessmen, we just need your support.”
Speaking at a meeting of traders and businessmen, he said, “Give AAP a chance and you will forget everyone else, the example of which AAP’s Delhi government has given to the people. AAP has done and will do wonders for business and business in Delhi. Punjab very.”

We did this in Delhi,” he said.
Kejriwal said, “Old laws will be reformed and unnecessary laws will be abolished. A system will be created in which the existing industries do not need to waste time on the government and will be able to invest their time in business.
“VAT will be refunded to merchants between three to six months and an installment system will be put in place for large refunds. Infrastructure will be strengthened and enhancement charges will be abolished. Changes in land use (CLU) and other types of hassles will also be eliminated in the areas which have been declared as industrial zones. Monthly or weekly installments of bribery and goonda tax will be abolished,” he said, adding that traders and businessmen would be partners in the future AAP government and a joint body would be formed.
Law and order will be strengthened. Punjab is a border state, and Law And here order must be maintained with its secular structure. There will be more emphasis on small traders and MSMEs, which will generate employment.
