Abandoned father, Bihar girl groomed by maternal grandmother scored 99% marks in class 10

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Varun Gandhi shared an anecdote of hard work of a Bihar girl on his Twitter account. He posted a video in which the girl is seen sitting with her maternal grandmother, who expressed happiness over the child’s achievement.

In the video, the girl’s maternal grandmother said, “I brought her up and she (the girl’s father who left her) should regret her decision. Today I am very happy and lucky that such a talented girl is my daughter’s and she is living with me.” After my daughter’s death, her father married someone else and left the girl alone.”

“He never came to see his own daughter in previous years,” she said.

Taking to Twitter, Varun Gandhi said, “Amazing tales of sacrifice and dedication! The daughter, who left her father’s side after the shadow of her mother, created history by working hard at her maternal grandparents’ house. A daughter securing 99.4% marks in 10th shows that Pratibha does not look for opportunities. I can be of any use to you, I’ll be lucky.”

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the Term 2 exam. class 10. Results for On July 22 on its official website cbseresults.nic.in and results.cbse.nic.in.

Trivandrum was the best performing region in class 10 with a pass percentage of 99.68%. Guwahati is at the bottom with a pass percentage of 82.23%. A total of 20,93,978 students appeared for the exam, out of which 19,76,668 (94.40%) passed. The class 10 board exam was conducted from April 26 to May 4.

The officials confirmed that 30% weightage has been given to Term 1 exam, 70% weightage to Term 2nd.
