Abdullah: Farooq Abdullah while addressing Hindus for Labor event mysteriously shuts down Zoom call – Times of India

London: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President and former Chief Minister Dr. Farooq Abdullah was because of addressing the Hindus Labour Keynote event via video link on Wednesday at Hilton Hotel, Brighton. TOI has seen a letter from him confirming that he will be addressing the conference.
Abdullah appeared zoom From his Srinagar home at around 9.10 a.m. local time, he had a brief conversation with a Zoom technician to check his audio and video. They were told that the program was not going to start till 9.30 am local time. So he asked if he could take a short break and come back at that time. abdullah Then the Zoom call dropped and mysteriously never came back.
The Hindu for Labor Chairman Dr. Neeraj Patil Told the event: “We think there is an internet problem connecting to the former chief minister of Kashmir. He is happy to address the conference. He was here earlier and the internet problem is happening.” He later reiterated: “We seem to be having connection problems with Abdullah.”
The event eventually ended without Abdullah being addressed. He was about to speak on Kashmir.
Patil tried to call Abdullah’s personal mobile several times during the program but his phone was switched off. WhatsApp messages also did not work.
Patil said, “We don’t know what happened to Dr. Abdullah. He was in line. I have found his personal number and his phone is switched off. We could not get to him due to some internet issues.”
“He has logged off from Zoom and we could not get in touch with him,” the Zoom host told TOI.
“The Labor Party stands for international peace and justice and we want peace in Kashmir. One of the proposals we are recommending is to convert the current LoC into a soft international border with free movement of people, goods and services. What we have in Northern Ireland and more autonomy for the entire region of Kashmir,” Patil told the event.
