First of all we have to prepare the batter for Dhokla. For this, put gram flour, turmeric powder, oil, curd, sugar, salt and water in a bowl. Mix everything well and keep it aside for 10-15 minutes. Now add baking soda to the batter. Mix well. Pour the batter into the steamer and let it steam for 15-20 minutes.

Next, we need to prepare the tempering. For this, heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add curry leaves, green chillies and asafoetida, sugar and water. Close the lid and turn off the flame. Pour this tempering over the dhokla and garnish with fresh green coriander. Khatta Meetha Dhokla is ready!
