New Delhi: Delhi Commission for Women Chairperson Swati Maliwal issued a notice to the police after a video went viral on social media, in which a youth was seen masturbating in the Delhi Metro. In the viral video, a man is seen doing obscene acts while sitting on a seat in the Delhi Metro.
The Commission has sent a notice to the DCP of Delhi Police, Delhi Metro, seeking an action taken report. The commission has asked the Delhi Police to provide a copy of the FIR along with the details of the arrests made in the matter.
‘It’s absolutely disgusting and disgusting’
DCW Chief Swati Maliwal said, “In the viral video, a man can be seen shamelessly masturbating in Delhi Metro. This is absolutely disgusting and disgusting. The accused should be arrested and strict action should be taken in this matter.” ” “More and more such cases are coming to the fore in Delhi Metro and exemplary action needs to be taken against such persons to ensure the safety of women in Metro,” she said.
DMRC issued a statement
After the video went viral, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) issued a statement asking commuters to behave responsibly while traveling in the metro and said that commuters would be informed about the matter “by giving details of corridors, stations, timings etc”.
