Academy Awards 2022: Here’s what the stars were like at the Oscars after-party ceremony

The 94th Academy Awards were held today (March 28, 2022, IST) at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, Las Vegas. Hollywood actor Will Smith won the Best Actor award for his film King Richard while Jessica Chastain won the Best Actress award for The Eyes of Tammy Fey. ‘Koda’ became ‘Best Picture’ of 2022 and Jane Campion won ‘Best Director’ for the film ‘The Power of the Dog’. And by tradition, the all-stars celebrated their victory at the Governor’s Ball—an official post-Oscar celebration by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Every year, the Governors Ball mixes food, fashion, music, art and design, making it a unique affair of the year.

Like every year, celebrated chef Wolfgang Puck and his Wolfgang Puck return to set up an excellent menu for the attendees at the catered party. But this year he was not alone. Chef Wolfgang collaborated with Bronx-based culinary collective Ghetto Gastro for Oscars 2022. according to a official releaseThe idea behind the collaboration was to skillfully blend influences from African culture into the feast menu. “We are thrilled to welcome the extraordinary talents of Ghetto Gastro to the table,” said Jennifer Todd, Academy Governor and Chair of the Awards Committee. Together, Wolfgang and the Ghetto Gastro collective will create an inspired culinary experience for our Oscar guests.

Oscars 2022: What’s on the menu:

The menu made for the feast includes classic smoked salmon Oscars and spicy tuna shanks. Plus it has foods like fried chicken and Ancestral Roots waffles with spicy sovereign syrup, business places with crab and caviar and dream fields of crispy coconut rice with peas and sweet plantains.

Some other delicious dishes on the feast menu are Maine Lobster Pot Pie with Spring Vegetables, Dry Aged Wagyu Beef Sliders with French Fries and Casio e Pepe Macaroni and Cheese. According to a report in The People Magazine, the dessert menu consists of a variety of sweets such as chocolate sea salt Oscar eclairs, grapefruit panna cotta, s’mores macarons and their signature chocolate Oscar.

To complement the meal, the Governors Ball also has a variety of beverages. “Champagne Fleur de Miraval—the only Champagne House exclusively dedicated to Rosé Champagne—will be poured with two limited-edition Francis Ford Coppola wines in honor of the 94th Oscars,” an official statement on the Oscars website read.
