Ishq Vishk fame, actor and travel vlogger Shenaz Treasurywala recently revealed that he is suffering from prosopagnosia. The 41-year-old shared stories on Instagram talking about her recent diagnosis and what it is like to have a cognitive disorder.
“I’ve been diagnosed with prosopagnosia. Now, I understand why I’ve never been able to put my face together,” she wrote in one of her Instagram stories.
“You have difficulty recognizing neighbors, friends, co-workers, clients, classmates. People you know expect you to recognize them. Failing to recognize someone can isolate you. Many suffer report losing friends and humiliating coworkers because they failed to recognize them. It’s me. And I thought I was just dumb,” she explains.
She goes on to explain how she always felt “embarrassed” at not recognizing people’s faces — “even close friends after a few years,” she says.
“This is a real brain issue. Please be kind and understand,” Shenaz Treasury continued.
Celebrities like Brad Pitt have also revealed that they have this condition.
