Actor Arjun Kapoor is an avid petrolhead and keeps quite a few exotics in his garage from time to time. And now, the actor has become the newest celebrity to add Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 An uber-luxury SUV in his garage. The car was recently delivered to Kapoor by a dealer in Mumbai. The flagship Maybach model was launched earlier this year at a hefty price tag of ₹2.43 crore, with only 50 units allocated for 2021. All the cars were talked about even before the prices were announced in June this year. The automaker, however, is taking bookings for the second batch with deliveries scheduled in 2022. Incidentally, her co-actor and friend Ranveer Singh also brought the Maybach GLS earlier this year.

Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 sold out ahead of launch for 2021
The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 is a fully loaded version of the 4MATIC luxury SUV and gets a lot of upgrades over the standard GLS. The Maybach name adds new 22-inch alloy wheels that can be upgraded to a 23-inch unit, chrome inserts on the side cladding, LED headlamps and a regal all-chrome Maybach grille. The actor’s Maybach GLS 600 is finished in a monotone Cavansite Blue shade.
The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 is a four-seater and the customers can choose from different personalization and customization options for the cabin.
In the cabin, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 can seat up to four with individual seats, offering the best of luxury and comfort. The cabin gets a beige and brown dual-tone interior with Nappa leather upholstery. You get different leather packages for the interior. The feature list is extensive and includes rear seats, electronic panoramic sliding sunroof, ventilated massage seats and a wide range of ambient lighting options. There is also a 12.3-inch dual screen display with the latest MBUX infotainment system. The car also gets ‘Hey Mercedes’ voice command system and Mercedes Me Connected Car Tech.

The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 is powered by a 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 engine that develops 550 bhp and 730 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission. The engine is also paired with a 48-volt system EQ Boost system that adds 21 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque for better starting acceleration and efficiency. The luxury SUV can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 4.9 seconds, with a top speed of 250 kmph.

Kapoor added the Land Rover Defender 110 to his garage in April this year
This is Arjun Kapoor’s second SUV purchase in 2021. The actor bought a Land Rover Defender 110 in April this year. While the Defender sits at the rugged end of the luxury SUV segment with a storied history of its own, the new Maybach GLS 600 sits at the extreme end of the same spectrum. It is not clear if Kapoor still has the keys to his Maserati Levante which was his old daily driver.
