On Wednesday too, shares of all 10 listed companies of Adani Group closed with gains.

Shares of Adani Group have hit the exchanges last month following a series of allegations against US-based short seller Hindenburg Research, including fraudulent transactions and manipulation of share prices.

The group has dismissed the allegations as false, saying it complies with all laws and disclosure requirements.

On Thursday, the Supreme Court asked Sebi to probe within two months allegations of share price manipulation by the Adani group and any lapses in regulatory disclosures, and to protect Indian investors following a damning report by US short. A panel was also constituted for Seller.

Reacting to the court’s directions, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani said. “Adani Group welcomes the order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court. It will be finalized in a time bound manner. Truth will prevail.”
