India U-17 women’s team had some worrying moments in the last 15 minutes before registering a 2-1 win against Myanmar in their concluding AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup Qualifier Round 1 tie on Friday.

With this win, India qualified from Group F for the second round of the tournament to be held in September later this year.

In the three-team group, India won both their matches against Kyrgyz Republic and Myanmar and finished with six points.

After Sulanjana and Pooja gave India a 2-0 lead in the 33rd minute, Myanmar threatened to make a comeback in the 75th minute when Ya Min Phu reduced the gap.

The final 15 minutes were tense as Myanmar pressed for an equaliser, but the Indian defense stood firm to thwart the rival attackers.
