After papad shortage at Kerala wedding, a fight erupts between guests

A wedding is probably one of the most important occasions in one’s life. Indian weddings usually have hundreds of guests in attendance, lots of celebrations and a grand wedding feast. What would you do if the feast contained something you really liked, but ran out of stock? Something similar happened at a wedding in Alappuzha district of Kerala. Believe it or not, the guests clashed after the lack of papads demanded by the groom’s friends. A video clip of the incident has surfaced on Twitter. to keep track:

Twitter user Rakesh Simha shared the 39-second clip in which the controversy can be seen. The wedding guests can be seen engaging in an ugly fight with their hands and feet. “A fist fight broke out a wedding During the feast, the groom’s friends demanded papad. This started a verbal brawl and ended in an ugly brawl,” wrote the user in the tweet.

According to reports, the controversy started when some of the groom’s friends demanded extra pappadams in the Kerala wedding. Pappadam is a popular snack that is served with meals, made by rolling rice flour into thin papads and deep frying them until crunchy. However, the server did not make it available to the guests and thus a fight broke out. According to on manoramaTwo guests and the auditorium owner were injured in the incident.
