A four-member CBI team searched the Punjab National Bank branch in Ghaziabad’s Vasundhara for nearly two hours.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said that Manish Sisodia’s honesty and patriotism have been proved right in front of the entire country. Kejriwal alleged that the action was triggered by “dirty politics”.
A four-member CBI team searched a branch of Punjab National Bank in Ghaziabad’s Vasundhara for nearly two hours. Sisodia and his wife were present at that time. “Nothing was found from Manish’s house, nothing was found from his locker. The CBI did not find anything in the search. Manish’s honesty and patriotism is standing in front of the whole country.
“It is clear that the whole action was started with dirty politics. Hope this dirty politics stops and we will be allowed to work,” Kejriwal tweeted in Hindi, sharing a TV news clip of Sisodia’s conversation with journalists. After the CBI team searched his locker for nearly two hours, Sisodia said the probe agency has given him a clean chit. He told reporters that the CBI was working under pressure.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader is among 15 people and entities named in the FIR registered by the agency in connection with alleged irregularities in the implementation of the Delhi government’s Excise Policy 2021-22.
