Agneepath Scheme: IAF receives 56,960 applications within 3 days of registration

The Indian Air Force on Sunday said it has received 56,960 applications so far under the Agneepath recruitment scheme, within three days of the start of the registration process on Friday.

“56960! This is the total number of applications received so far from future firefighters in response Agneepath Recruitment Application process at https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in,” IAF said on Twitter.

The registration closes on July 5,” the IAF said.

Indian Air Force As per the official notification, the recruitment through Agneepath Scheme 2022 will start from June 24, 2022. Interested candidates can apply online for Agneepath Scheme 2022 directly through its official website – careerindianairforce.cdac.in.

The registration for IAF Recruitment under Agneepath Scheme 2022 will end on July 5, 2022 as per the notice. It is important to note that in order to qualify as Agniveer, it is important to fulfill the eligibility criteria.

Interested candidates should have Class 10th or Matriculation passing certificate, Intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent mark sheet or 3 years Engineering Diploma final year mark sheet and Matriculation mark sheet or 2 years Vocational course mark sheet and Non-vocational mark sheet .

Prime Minister Narendra Modi The Agneepath scheme was unveiled on June 14, 2022 to induct youth into the Indian Armed Forces, who will be referred to as Agneepath after inducting. Agneepath scheme is a new human resource policy under the Army, Navy and Air Force.

The government had said that youth in the age group of 17-and-a-half to 21 years would be inducted for a four-year term, while 25% of them would be inducted later for regular service. Later the government increased the upper age limit for recruitment under the scheme from 21 to 23 years for the year 2022.

Selection Criteria for Indian Air Force Agneepath Recruitment 2022: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Online Test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) -> Adaptability Test-I -> Adaptability Test-II and Medical Examination.

The government also announced several calming steps on his retirement like preference for him in central paramilitary forces and defense public sector undertakings.

Several BJP-ruled states also declared ‘agnivars’, as soldiers would be known, to be given priority in joining state police forces.

However, the armed forces have made it clear that violent protests and arsonists against the new recruitment scheme will not be included. Candidates wishing to apply through Short-term Contract Agneepath Scheme must submit a written undertaking that they were not involved in violent protests against the scheme.
