The UPPSC PCS-2023 results are out, revealing Shruti Maheshwari from Sitakunj Colony, Agra, as the 6th rank. Shruti, who clinched the position of Tax Assessment Officer, achieved this success without any coaching. Interestingly, his father works as a businessman, while his mother is a homemaker.

Shruti Maheshwari expressed surprise at her outstanding result, sharing that the news brought immense joy. Phone calls poured in from family and relatives. Shruti, who cleared UPSC on her third attempt, received her education in Agra and completed both graduation and post-graduation at St. John’s College. Advised by a teacher, she initially tried coaching but found self-study more effective, achieving success. According to her, coaching institutes are primarily business-oriented nowadays.

Shruti Maheshwari advises not to be nervous during interviews. She emphasises waiting to be seated, maintaining eye contact, and answering questions thoughtfully. Cautioning against hasty responses, she suggests only answering what you know since the board is well-informed. Additionally, she stresses the importance of proper body posture and attire.

Shruti Maheshwari highlights the vast online knowledge available, emphasising the importance of selective learning based on personal needs. She suggests filtering content, creating personalised notes, and ensuring the suitability of online material. Stressing the importance of understanding the language, she recommends focusing on fundamental NCERT material. Despite clearing PCS, Shruti remains driven to pursue her dream of serving the country by aspiring to become an IAS officer.

On the other hand, Shweta Singh, attaining the 11th rank in the UP PCS exam 2023, hails from Jam village in Jaunpur. Her father, Satya Prakash Singh, serves as the Principal of Tilakdhari Inter College. Being the eldest among two sisters and one brother, Shweta received her primary education from Harihar Singh School, followed by intermediate studies at St. John’s School, and graduation from Tilakdhari College. Remarkably, she achieved success in her very first attempt, securing the third rank among women. Shweta credits her role model, her parent Sunita Singh, and attributes her success to Dr. Shivlochan Singh, an Associate Professor at National Degree College, Jamuhai.
