Ahead of PM’s visit to Telangana, war of words continues between BJP and KCR party

Media reports say that Chief Minister KCR cannot attend Prime Minister’s programs

Hyderabad:

The war of words between the ruling TRS and the BJP over issues of protocol and the Center reportedly not doing enough for Telangana continued on Friday ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the state.

Union Tourism and Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy objected to billboards in the state protesting PM Modi’s visit and the CPI’s call for a bandh in Ramagundam town where the Prime Minister dedicated a fertilizer plant to the nation during his visit on Saturday. will do.

Without naming names directly, he said, “They call for Ramagundam bandh. On whose inspiration the (bandh) has been called, Telangana society is watching. The country and the people of Telangana shut down your party long ago. Had given.” CPI.

He claimed that the hoardings were put up without revealing the real identity of who put up, but it is the ruling TRS which is behind such work, he claimed.

Citing media reports that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao may not attend the Prime Minister’s programs though Union Fertilizer Minister Mansukh Mandaviya had written a letter to the former, Reddy said it was very regrettable.

He said chief ministers of several non-BJP ruled states have welcomed PM Modi during his visit as politics and development programs are different.

Meanwhile, ruling TRS MLA Balka Suman said that PM Modi should specify that state-run coal mining company Singareni Collieries in Telangana will not be privatized.

He said that PM Modi should also announce that workers of Singareni Collieries will be given income tax exemption as proposed by the state government earlier.

Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) is a state-run coal mining company jointly owned by the Government of Telangana and the Center on a 51:49 equity basis.

Senior TRS leader and state planning board vice-chairman B Vinod Kumar said the invitation to the chief minister was sent by the concerned Union minister and not the PM’s office.

During the last few days, a war of words is going on between the TRS and the BJP before the visit of the PM. TRS leaders had demanded that Modi and BJP leaders should be told what the Center has done for Telangana.
