A video of an air hostess on board the Yeti Airlines plane that crashed in Nepal on Sunday has surfaced on the internet. Oshin Ali, who was among the four cabin crew killed in the accident, was a popular TikToker in Nepal. In the TikTok video in question, she is seen smiling and posing on the plane. As per the Moneycontrol report, it was taken moments before the crash. A passenger plane carrying 72 people, including five Indians, plunged into a river gorge while landing at the recently opened airport in Pokhara city, killing at least 68 people on board.
People mourned Ali’s passing on the internet.
A video has also surfaced in which a Indian passenger apparently livestreamed last moments before the accident. News18 could not independently verify the authenticity of the video.
The clip is said to have been recorded by Sonu Jaiswal, one of the four passengers traveling from Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh. Jaiswal was also among those who died; As per the NDTV report, he was doing Facebook Live in the last moments before the accident and the same video appears on his unverified account on the social media platform. Abhishek Pratap Shah, a former Nepal parliamentarian and member of the Nepali Congress’s central committee, told NDTV that he had received the video from a friend and recovered it from the debris after the accident.
The video was heartbreaking for many viewers. “I have seen something like this for the first time, the fear of the last few seconds of so many people. This is very sad and painful,” reads one tweet. the other reads. “He looked so calm, one can’t imagine what happened next! Om Shanti,” wrote a Twitter user.
