Bharti Airtel announced that it has acquired 19,800 MHz of spectrum, achieving a pan-India footprint of the 3.5 GHz and 26 GHz bands. “Over the years, Airtel has been very smart in its competitive spectrum acquisition approach. It has accumulated the largest pool of low and mid-band spectrum (sub GHz/1800/2100/2300 bands) that can be used to provide “Best 5G coverage while huge capacity in the 3.5 GHz and 26 GHz bands will allow Airtel to create 100X capacity at minimal cost,” the company said in a statement.

Airtel said it is now planning to roll out 5G services from major cities in every part of the country. The company said it is confident that its customer base will rapidly adopt 5G devices in the country. It further claimed that its presence in the enterprise segment would lead to multiple industrial use cases, which would further strengthen its leadership in the B2B market.
