Since the 1991 film Phool Aur Kaante, Ajay Devgn has been delivering box office hits and adrenaline-packed films to the silver screen. Singham is one such film franchise that is loved by many fans and is known for its greatness when it comes to the genre of action. The first film fell in 2011 and was a blockbuster at the box office. The sequel was released in 2014 only to invite another strong response from fans. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the franchise stars Devgn in the lead role and has cast several notable actors like Prakash Raj, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kajal Aggarwal in previous films.
As Film Companion told in a recent interview, Ajay Devgn talked about Singham 3 and said that, “I think it should be by the end of the year. So we will start shooting. Currently, it is The scripting is at the stage… Rohit (Shetty) comes and tells me the basic idea of what we are going to work on and that’s it. Then when he finishes, he comes and then of course With us we talk about it.”
Pinkvilla quoted a source as saying, “Singham was set in Goa, followed by ‘Singham Returns’ which went up a notch with it being set in Mumbai. And now, Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn take things to the next level. All set to take off as Singham 3 is again set against the backdrop of terrorism, with the protagonist traveling to Pakistan to nab terror outfits.”
On a more professional note, Ajay Devgn is all set for the release of the theatrical thriller film Runway 34, slated to release on April 29 this year. Its star lineup features Bollywood legends and icons, Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles. The film is directed and produced by Ajay Devgn, marking his third time as a director. The film is supported by Ajay Devgn FFilms and Panorama Studios. Other producers include Kumar Mangat Pathak, Vikrant Sharma, Sandeep Harish Keolani, Tarlok Singh Jethi, Hasnain Hussaini and Jai Kanujia.
