Police force has been deployed outside Akhilesh Yadav’s house.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav is sitting on a dharna outside his house in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. From visiting Lakhimpur Kheri districtWhere eight including four farmers died in the violence on Sunday.

Police force has been deployed outside his house on Vikramaditya Marg in Lucknow.

“Even the British did not commit so much atrocities as the BJP government is doing on the farmers. The Minister of State for Home and the Deputy Chief Minister should resign. The farmers who lost their lives should be given Rs 2 crore.” Their families should be given government jobs,” Mr Yadav said.

“The government does not want any political leader to go there. What is the government hiding?”

In a escalating clash with the Yogi Adityanath government, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had a face-off with policemen this morning after she was stopped from going to Lakhimpur Kheri. He was detained late in the night while on his way to Lakhimpur Kheri to meet the families of the slain farmers. Congress sources said Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Punjab Deputy Chief Minister SS Randhawa were not allowed to land in Lucknow.
