Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi are going to be seen in a film named ‘Selfie’.
The film is supported by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
Kumar announced the film with Hashmi in a social media post.
“Found myself the perfect #Selfie partner! Hey @karanjohar, have we finished this selfie game or what? @therealemraan,” wrote the superstar, along with a picture of him taking a selfie with Hashmi on the bike.
Hashmi also shared the same picture on Instagram and expressed her happiness on being a part of the film.
“Akshaykumar! Joining the #Selfie club with selfies,” he said.
“Something big is about to happen”, said Johar.
The filmmaker captioned the post on his Instagram Stories, “No two others can kill it like you both @akshaykumar and @therealemraan keep watching, something big is about to happen.”
“Selfie” is reportedly a remake of the 2019 Malayalam-language comedy-drama “Driving License”. It stars Prithviraj Sukumaran as a superstar and Suraj Venjaramoodu as a motor vehicle inspector.
Directed by Lal Jr. from a script by Sachi, “Driving License” revolves around a superstar, who is famous for his driving skills, but loses his licence. However, the issue spirals out of control after a motor inspector, who happens to be a fan of the actor, locks horns.
According to reports, ‘Good Newwz’ fame Raj Mehta is associated with Direct ‘Selfie’, but the makers are yet to announce it officially.
