Akshay has recently started shooting for Sudha Kongara’s untitled film with Radhika Madan. Amidst the shoot, he shared a tweet on his Twitter, which read, “Landing this Friday, #runway34Thanking the Sooryavanshi actor, Ajay tweeted, “Akshay, the team of Runway 34 and I really appreciate you taking the time to give us a special mention. Ajay Devgn’s Runway 34, starring Rakul Preet Singh and Amitabh Bachchan in lead roles, is slated to hit the theaters this week on April 29, 2022. Helmed by Ajay Devgn, the film is based on a true incident.
Talking about Akshay Kumar, he has been in the news ever since he worked in a tobacco advertisement. Following the uproar, the actor issued an apology on his Instagram handle and assured fans that he would contribute his entire fee for a worthy cause. He wrote, “I am sorry. I want to apologize to you, all my fans and well-wishers. Your response in the last few days has touched me a lot. Although I do not and will not support tobacco, but I I respect your feelings in the light of my association with Vimal Cardamom, I back down with all humility. I have decided to contribute the entire support fee to a worthy cause. The brand may continue to broadcast advertisements until the legal term of the contract binding on me, but I promise to be extremely careful in making my future choices. In return, I will always ask for your love and best wishes.”
Soon after, Ajay Devgn also issued a clarification during the recent promotions of his upcoming film runway 34, He said, “It’s a personal choice. When you do something, you also see how harmful it will be. Some are harmful, some are not. I was doing cardamom. I guess that’s more than the commercials.” If there are some things that are wrong, then they should not be sold.”
