miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar will soon make her debut with Akshay Kumar-starrer Prithviraj. Both the actors are busy promoting their film, which will release on June 3. Recently, Manushi celebrated her 25th birthday on 14th May. A few days after his birthday, Khiladi Kumar gave him a small surprise with a cake.
Manushi posted a picture on Instagram in which he is seen cutting the cake. She mentioned in the caption, “Thank you Akshay sir for this surprise! The month of my birthday is getting special!” He also added some hashtags related to the film promotion.
Within hours, the picture surfaced across the internet and crossed over 90,000 likes.
Meanwhile, Prithviraj was supposed to release in January 2022 but got delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Later, the makers decided to premiere the film on June 3. The film is based on the life and times of King Prithviraj Chauhan. The superstar will play the role of the great warrior who fought Muhammad of Ghor. Filmmaker Aditya Chopra rebuilt 12th century Delhi, Ajmer and Kannauj and allocated Rs 25 crore as a set design budget.
Two other films are releasing on June 3 this year. Vikram starred Adivasi Shesha starring Megastar Kamal Haasan and Shashi Kiran directed Major. Major is based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, an army officer killed in the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
Talking about Prithviraj’s box office clash, Akshay said, “Good! I just want all these movies to work. How can I say stop their films, everyone’s films should play! Most importantly, if the film goes on, so does the business and a lot of life depends on the industry. That’s why all films should work.”
