After a lot of speculations, it is finally confirmed that action stars Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff will star in director Ali Abbas Zafar’s upcoming action entertainer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Despite the Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda starrer film having the same name, reports suggest that it is not a remake of the 1998 classic. It will knock on the big screen on Christmas next year.
On Saturday, February 5, Kareena Kapoor Khan took to her Instagram handle to put up a video which had several glimpses of Amitabh and Govinda from the 1998 superhit film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Through the video, he teased the announcement of the film, but it was postponed as the famous singer Lata Mangeshkar passed away the very next day.
The makers shared a glimpse of the film through a video of ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ announcing how the film will be. Akshay and Tiger also took to their respective social media handles to announce the film. Akshay wrote, ‘The year you made your debut in this world, I made my debut in films. Will you still compete, little Mian? Let’s go full-on action! @tigerjackieshroff #BadeMiyanChoteMiyan Christmas 2023.”
Tiger Shroff’s post read, “Double action, double dhamaka!! Heropanti to look like big players ready @akshaykumar akshaykumar ? So excited to present #BadeMiyanChoteMiyan, the biggest action entertainer ever, to all of you.”
Producer Vashu Bhagnani says, “It is very close to my heart as it brought two stalwarts Amit ji and Govinda together and was directed by my favorite David ji. Re-creating Mere Chhote Miyan Jackie with Ali Abbas Zafar. It’s a pleasure to see Huey, who has a brilliant vision for the film.”
“I am very humbled to see Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff becoming our Bade Miyan and Chote Miyan in 2023 for a new generation of audiences,” he added.
Apart from Vashu Bahgnani, the film also stars Deepshikha Deshmukh, Jackky Bhagnani, Himanshu Kishan Mehra, Ali Abbas Zafar.
Produced by Pooja Entertainment Production, the film is slated to release in five languages Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
