‘Khufia’ reportedly tells the story of Krishna Mehra, a RAW operative who is assigned to locate a mole that sells India’s defense secrets. At the same time, she is also battling her dual identity as a spy and lover. It is inspired by true events and is based on Amar Bhushan’s popular detective novel ‘Escape to Nowhere’.
After the announcement of the film, Bhardwaj said in a statement, “With Intelligence, my endeavor is to make an espionage film that separates the work of slow-moving intelligence and surveillance from one’s deep emotional struggles. ”
Talking about the film and reuniting with the filmmaker, Tabu told PTI, “Intelligence is a one of a kind project, which is very close to my heart and I am excited to be a part of this entertaining detective. Am. Thriller. As always, it is a pleasure to work with VB (Vishal Bhardwaj) again, and feels like homecoming.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Tabu also has Anees Bazmee’s.maze 2‘ which also stars Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani in lead roles.
Ali, on the other hand, has an upcoming Hollywood film titled, ‘Death on the Nile’. The film is scheduled to release in February 2022.
