“All of India…”: Writer Tom Holland after actor is tagged in post after tour

Writer forced to issue clarification after actor’s visit to India

Author Tom Holland has requested Indians to please stop tagging him in posts about Hollywood actor Tom Holland. The author shared on Twitter that there has been a flood of tweets from Indians ever since Nita arrived in Mumbai on Friday with her girlfriend-actor Zendaya to attend the grand opening weekend of the Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center (NMACC).

The author wrote from a fan account, sharing a photo of Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Nita Ambani posing with Tom and Zendaya, “Please stop this.” The author was forced to issue a clarification after there was a flood of posts about Tom Holland in India.

“It’s like I have the whole of India on my timeline!” the author said in response to a netizen who sought an apology on behalf of Indians in a case of mistaken identity.

Soon after actor Tom Holland left India, the writer heaved a sigh of relief. He tweeted, “Enough.”

Meanwhile, the official Twitter handle of Kerala Tourism shared a photoshopped picture which has sent netizens into a tizzy and triggered a flurry of strange but constructive comments. The official account shared a picture of Tom Holland and Zendaya as they posed amid the picturesque lush green locale of Munnar.

The picture was captioned: “Guess who we saw on Far From Home?” And the hashtags were ‘away home’, ‘Munnar’ and ‘Kerala tourism’.

However, the original image was shot in April last year in the city of Boston in the United States.
