The Allahabad High Court on Wednesday quashed the appointments of principals in recognized intermediate colleges and high schools in Uttar Pradesh on the ground of a delay of nine years.

Passing the order, Justice Pankaj Bhatia of the Lucknow bench of the court said: “All appointments to the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education In pursuance of the advertisement issued in 2013, the Services Selection Board has been set aside as in violation of Articles 14 and 16 of the Constitution of India. ‘ added the judge.

“The appointments have been made after a delay of almost nine years in 2022, which is violative of Articles 14 and 16 of the Constitution,” argued Sharad Pathak, counsel for the petitioners.
