Alpha Alternatives raises ₹130 crore

Mumbai Multi-asset management platform Alpha Alternatives, owned by investment banker Naresh Kothari, has picked up 130 crore as equity capital from existing investors and several prominent family offices.

This is the second fundraise by AMC in two years.

with assets under the management of 5,500 crore, AMC is using the capital to expand into new areas such as fixed income and real estate.

Currently, it deals with investments in commodities and structured debt.

He added that AMC also plans to add new partners to its existing team of 14 partners.

In the first round of fundraising two years ago, Alpha Alternatives raised 110 crore from existing investors.

Founded in 2013, Alpha Alternatives is a multi-asset class alternative asset management platform with multiple strategies in absolute-return, credit, commodities, value and quant driven equity and fixed income.

The investment philosophy of the firm is built around a risk-return orientation leading to strong risk-adjusted performance.
