Alpine has launched its new flagship audio system in India at a price of approx ₹30 lakh. The new Alpine F#1 Status System is said to be the first in the market to offer full-spec high definition audio playback at 384kHz/32-bits. Alpine says the system is only available as a complete kit with components not available individually. Also launched is the low-spec Alpine Status unit with low quality HD audio (192kHz/24bit) which costs around ₹8 lakh. Unlike the F# 1 Status, which received its own individual head-unit and is available only as a complete set, the low-spec Status can be integrated with existing OEM and aftermarket head units, which are also available individually. are available.

The F# 1 position has a unique Master Clock Management System with a crystal oscillator housed within a temperature controlled chamber. The system also gets a 64-bit quad-core processor set-up which is clocked at 1GHz to ensure optimum sound quality at all times. Meanwhile all speakers and tweeters are manufactured using carbon fiber re-enforced plastic to deliver a consistent sound. The system is available with a dedicated 1-DIN system and is not compatible with OEM or other aftermarket head units, although the company states that it can be fitted with OEM units. The system is only available through Alpine’s franchise outlets.
