Cloud service provider Amazon Web Services, Inc. has launched the AWS Asia Pacific (Hyderabad) region, the second such facility in India, to enhance services for customers.

It will invest an estimated $4.4 billion (about ₹36,300 crore) in the country by 2030 through the sector, including capital expenditure on building data centres, operating expenditure related to ongoing utilities and facility costs, and procurement of goods and services from regional businesses. The Amazon company said on November 22 that the jobs will be part of the AWS supply chain in India, which includes jobs in manufacturing, facility maintenance, engineering, telecommunications and within the country’s wider economy.

On the AWS Asia Pacific (Hyderabad) region, which includes three availability zones, it said, “Starting today, developers, startups, entrepreneurs, and enterprises, as well as government, education, and non-profit organizations, will have more space to run their applications.” and serving end users from data centers located in India”. Customers will have access to advanced AWS technologies to drive innovation, including data analytics, security, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
