Amber Heard was constantly mocked by TikTokers. (tiktok screengrabs)
The Amber Heard-Johnny Depp trial inspired some of the most disturbing ‘content’ on TikTok, with people cosplaying as Amber Heard and taking domestic abuse lightly.
The Amber Heard-Johnny Depp trial and its commodification on the Internet was one of the most disturbing moments in recent pop culture. Not only did it fuel violently anti-feminist discourse against Heard, but it was also mocked by many on the internet and shed light on the serious issue of domestic abuse. Now, as the tide seems to be turning on Twitter, people are remembering disturbing instances when TikTokers flouted the test.
From mimicking Amber Heard’s injuries with makeup to enacting abuse scenarios, TikTokers did it all. Sharing a disturbing video, a Twitter user wrote, “Maybe Tiktok should be banned after all.”
Everyone is saying that Amber describing Johnny’s rape as “seemed like a good time” during the trial was the worst TikTok trend because it perpetuated the harmful idea that a victim can enjoy rape Is. https://t.co/ZUhFPKMn02— Eris ❦ (@dajjalsspawn) April 17, 2023

Regardless of your opinion on the matter, making memes and tiktoks on a painful court case is ludicrous and you know for a fact it is only hurting one demographic and that is DV victims. https://t.co/PklejLBtGW— lyna (@lynnacoupie) April 16, 2023
