The White House on Wednesday said the US is committed to continuing to work closely with India in groupings such as the Quad to advance economic growth for both countries and “expand cooperation on our shared priorities”.

The Quad is a strategic forum comprising India, Japan, the US and Australia. Its primary objective is to develop a new strategy to keep the vital sea routes in the Indo-Pacific region free from any influence.
“The United States and India have a strong bilateral relationship, and that includes trade,” said the White House Press Secretary.
Meanwhile, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman recently said that India and the US are building the foundation of a strong, peaceful and harmonious global community. She said that she also wanted the relationship between the two countries to grow “from strength to strength”.
Speaking at a reception at India House, which was hosted by Indian Ambassador Taranjit Singh Sandhu, Ms Sitharaman said, “We are together and building a strong foundation for a strong, peaceful and harmonious global community”. .
Earlier, India’s Ambassador to the US Taranjit Singh Sandhu said that members of the Indian community across the US are working to advance bilateral commercial, economic and people-to-people ties.
