Amid speculations of Amritpal’s surrender, police prepares for Amritsar’s security

‘If the fugitive Khalistani sympathizer Amritpal Singh Amritpal Police Deputy Commissioner of Law and Order Parminder Singh Bhandal said on Saturday, “If we want to surrender, we will do our bit as per the law.” Waris Punjab De Pramukh will surrender at the Golden Temple.

He said, ‘We are continuously working for the security of Amritsar. Even today we have sealed the entire city. Right now we are focusing more on traffic as Baisakhi is round the corner. If Waris Punjab De chief Amritpal Singh wants to surrender and appear, we will do our job as per law.”

Amritpal Singh on Thursday came out with a new video and said that he is not a fugitive and will soon come in front of the world. He sought to address some of the comments about the video that surfaced on Wednesday, ANI reported.

“I uploaded a video yesterday. It was addressed to the people. People think maybe the video was made in police custody because I was looking around in that video while talking. You can watch other earlier videos I don’t talk too much looking at the camera,” he said in an unverified video.

“Those who think he has run away or abandoned friends, let them get out of their minds. Soon I will appear before the world. I am not the kind of person who will go abroad and put videos,” Waris Punjab D Pramukh said.

pro khalistan leaderSingh, who has been declared a proclaimed offender by the Punjab Police, said no one should be in apprehension that he has not run away from his people. He urged people to spread this message in large gathering on Baisakhi to discuss the issues facing the community.

He said that the government should do what it has to do and it is not afraid. “I am not afraid of arrest. Nor have I laid down any conditions for arrest.”

This new video comes a day after the fundamentalist preacher, who is being chased by the police, released an unverified video call on “Sikh Sangat” if they want to “save” Punjab, reports ANI.

He said, “I am all right and nothing can harm me. As far as arrest is concerned, it is in the hands of the Guru.” He alleged that many of his supporters have been sent to Assam jail.

Amritpal has been absconding since March 18, the day the Punjab Police started looking for him.

This crack came after about three weeks supporters of amritpal On February 23, he stormed the Ajnala police station in Amritsar and demanded the release of one of his close friends, Lovepreet Toofan.
