Amit Shah to chair high-level security meeting, on 2-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir from today

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is on a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir from today (March 18).

Shah will address the CRPF Raising Day Parade at the Maulana Azad Stadium and conduct a high-level review of the security situation with senior officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs, J&K Police, CAPFs, intelligence agencies and civil administration.

The Union Home Minister will stay at the Raj Bhavan during his visit. He will address the CRPF Raising Day Parade at Maulana Azad Stadium on Saturday.

Jitendra Singh, MoS (PMO) is expected to be accompanied by Union Home Secretary, AK Bhalla, DG of CAPFs and heads of central intelligence agencies during Shah’s visit.

The Home Minister will review the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir following the recent killings of three panchayat members and two security personnel.
