As Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to address two mega rallies in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri and Baramulla today, security has been tightened in the area. The multi-layered security arrangement in the area will ensure high level security to the Home Minister in Rajouri.
Apart from his two mega rallies, Amit Shah, during his three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir, will hold high-level meetings, review development activities and meet senior BJP leaders.
Security forces launched cordon and search operation at several places in the area on Monday. The cordon and search operation was launched by joint teams of army, police and paramilitary forces.
Officials said joint teams of army, police and paramilitary forces launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Chechra Jungle, Sheeran and Dasal Jattan and thoroughly checked the area for any suspicious activity.

According to the news agency, the CASO is a part of heightened security arrangements ahead of the high-profile visit. With this CASO, many CASOs have been organized in the recent few days. Force is also ruling on petrol regularly.
Amit Shah will address a public meeting in Rajouri town on Tuesday. A security official said that apart from increased patrolling and operations, there are intelligence agencies which are maintaining highest level of vigilance and police and paramilitary forces are taking full care of security arrangements under their jurisdiction.

Apart from tightening the security arrangements, the security forces have sealed the rally site. Till now only those holding special passes are allowed to enter it. The army has increased its vigil in the entire area, especially in Rajouri town and border areas, to deal with any untoward incident during the incident.
Rapid response teams have been deployed for quick response to security incursions. In addition, all units of the army in Rajouri, i.e. Ace of Spades Division and Romeo Force, are all in alert mode.
Several of his teams are stationed at various places which are important security points of Amit Shah.
